Questions about this Bitcoin ATM

Can I sell Bitcoin for cash at Gerry’s Variety?

Yes. This machine is marked Buy & Sell, so it dispenses Canadian cash once you send Bitcoin to the address on its screen. Send from a personal wallet rather than an exchange — exchange withdrawals are often delayed, which holds up your cash.

Do I need an account to use this Bitcoin ATM in Toronto?

Smaller transactions need only your mobile number and the code the machine texts you. Larger amounts need a verified HODL account, which Canadian anti-money-laundering rules (FINTRAC) require — it takes a few minutes to complete online before you visit.

What are this machine's hours?

It sits inside Gerry’s Variety, so it is available whenever that store is open. The full week is listed above, along with whether it is open right now.
